High Achieving Students Choose Miami University

Local students are members of the Carleton College women's basketball team for the 2016-2017 season.

Miami University students who achieved a 3.5 or better grade point average for second semester 2015-2016 have been named to the dean's list recognizing academic performance.

Southeast Missouri State University has announced its spring 2016 graduates.

In May 2016, University of the Cumberlands conferred 745 degrees to students.

The University of the Cumberlands (UC) Women's Basketball team were on the road on Thursday, February 25th as they faced the #19 ranked Blue Raiders of Lindsey Wilson College (LWC). The Patriots and Blue Raiders would trade the lead back and forth for a majority of the game, but in the end it was Lindsey Wilson who would take the lead for good in the 4th quarter, scraping away with a 72-66 victory over the Patriots. The loss moves UC to 11-14 overall this season and 2-11 in Mid-South Conference (MSC) play.

The University of the Cumberlands (UC) Women's Basketball team continued to look for their 1st Mid-South Conference (MSC) victory on Thursday as they hosted the Patriots of St. Catharine College (SCC). After holding a four point lead at halftime, UC would find its groove in the 2nd half, cruising to a 73-56 victory over SCC. The win moves the Patriots to 9-12 overall on the season and 1-9 in MSC play.

The University of the Cumberlands (UC) Women's Basketball team would take to their home floor for the final time of the season on Saturday as they hosted the University of Pikeville (UPike) for Senior Day. UC would look to send their lone senior LaTeesha DeLoach (Florissant, MO) off with a big win in Mid-South Conference (MSC) play, but the Bears would not allow that as they would knock off the Patriots 68-64. The loss would move UC to 11-13 on the season and 2-10 in Mid-South Conference (MSC) play.

The University of the Cumberlands (UC) Women's Basketball team would travel to Georgetown College to face off against the Tigers, hoping to gain a win in Mid-South Conference (MSC) play. UC would start the game strong leading the first half by one point and continuing to increase their lead to five by the start of the 4th, but the Tigers would gain momentum in the last moments of the game that would give them the victory over the Patriots 69-67. The loss moves the Patriots to 8-12 overall on the season and 0-9 in MSC play.

The Iowa State University College of Human Science's Dean's List honors students who have earned a grade point average of 3.5 or higher.

The University of the Cumberlands (UC) Women's Basketball team looked to snap a 5 game losing streak on Thursday night in non-conference action against the Mountaineers of Berea College (BC). The Patriots came out strong early and never looked back, earning an 86-48 win over the Mountaineers. With the win, UC moves to 8-9 overall on the season.

The University of the Cumberlands (UC) Women's Basketball team looked to get back into the win column on Saturday, January 9th as they hosted the NAIA #25 ranked Blue Raiders of Lindsey Wilson College. The Patriot ladies could not find their feel on the home floor as they struggled early and never rebounded, falling to the Blue Raiders 61-51. With the loss, UC moves to 7-6 overall this season and 0-3 in Mid-South Conference (MSC) play.

The University of the Cumberlands (UC) Women's Basketball team began the week with high hopes to return to the win column after a tough 72-58 loss to the Railsplitters of Lincoln Memorial University. UC would have two opportunities to do that as they began a 4 game road stretch with a game at the University of Pikeville (UPike) on Thursday and another at West Virginia Tech (WVT) on Saturday. Unfortunately, UC would not have the luck they needed as they dropped both contests, falling to UPike 84-78 in overtime and 61-59 to WVT. UC's overall record now sits at 6-3 (0-1 Mid-South Conference).

The University of the Cumberlands (UC) Women's Basketball team opened up their home season on Tuesday as they hosted the University of Rio Grande. The Patriot ladies started out the first half resilient, leading 36-22 at the break. UC continued the push in the 2nd half, coming away with a 61-48 victory. With the win, UC now moves to 4-0 overall on the season.

Central Methodist University has announced the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences spring 2015 Dean's List. To qualify for Dean's List recognition, one must be enrolled as a full time student and achieve a 3.5 or higher grade point average on the University's 4.0 scale, according to Dr. Rita Gulstad, Provost.

Central Methodist University has announced the athletic honors and awards for the 2014-2015 academic year.

Central Methodist University has announced its graduating Class of 2015 according to President Roger Drake. Over 700 students participated in Commencement exercises in Fayette, Sedalia, and Park Hills.

Several Patriot Women's Basketball players received All-Conference honors at the end of the MSC Championship tournament.
